A lecture-performance makes artistic academic and transforms the bodily to analytical.

The communication of a singer and a composer is one of the most demanding things. In this performance Miika Hyytiäinen and Julia Mihály demonstrate artistically, how it works – and doesn’t.

The three-part piece is simultaneously the artistic result and the making-of. In the first part the composer analyses the performer’s voice, in order to create material especially for her voice, body and personality. The graphic Voice Map analysis…

…leads to the graphic world of the notation.

The roles of the composer and the performer are questioned, in the second part they discuss the analytical results and the spoken words and drawn colours became musical material to compose short sketches for the voice. In the third act these sketches are performed prima vista.
